Support for Immigrant Survivors

Survivors of domestic violence frequently feel the burden of shame and isolation, and especially for immigrant survivors, these feelings can be compounded by language and cultural barriers, anti-immigrant sentiment, high rates of poverty, and community isolation.

The SPAN Outreach Counseling Program provides culturally competent counseling and case managment to immigrant survivors of domestic violence and their children.  The SPAN Advocacy Program can provide support and assistance for survivors with specific issues and concerns related to immigration. Whether an immigrant survivor is documented or undocumented SPAN Advocates can provide information and answer general questions and connect them with immigration resources in the community, including legal referrals, to explore possible options.

Email SPAN’s Outreach Counseling Team for more information or call the Crisis & Information Hotline at 303.444.2424.
