Laurie has been a volunteer at SPAN since 2012. In her role as a volunteer court advocate, Laurie works with SPAN’s legal team to provide information and support to survivors who are navigating the judicial process. We asked Laurie a couple of questions to get to know her better. Read on to see what she had to say!
What is your favorite thing about being a court advocate? Making a difference in our client’s lives with compassion and sincerity.
If you were an animal, what would you be and why? A cockapoo puppy, because they are so cuddly, loving and bring a lot of joy to me and my family.
Who was your childhood hero and who is your hero now? Shirley Temple when I was young and today it would have to be my husband.
Congratulations, Laurie, on being SPAN’s October Volunteer of the Month!
