DetailsSPAN joins collaborative effort with Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley and Colorado Legal Services to provide legal advocacy for survivors during COVID-19. Isolation can be a scary time for individuals experiencing domestic violence, we are here to help.
DetailsSPAN began preparing to respond to the COVID-19 crisis and its impact on survivors and SPAN’s services when the reality of the pandemic became apparent in early March. We are immensely grateful for the guidance and support that Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) staff have provided over the past two months. From the early days of planning, BCPH, Boulder County Housing and Human Services, the cities of Boulder and Longmont, homeless services providers, family resource centers, community health clinics, Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley, SPAN, the District Attorney’s Office, and other community organizations have worked as true partners in responding to the crisis and its devastating impact on the most vulnerable in our community.
DetailsAmidst the craziness of COVID-19, all of us here at SPAN are trying to focus on the silver linings. SPAN’s Housing and Economic Justice Director, Ashley, touches base on the importance of connection during this time.
DetailsAmidst the craziness of COVID-19, all of us here at SPAN are trying to focus on the silver linings. Our Facilities Specialist, Joe Avila, has been working tirelessly to keep SPAN clients and staff safe. We asked him what has inspired him during this time of crisis.
DetailsFor survivors of domestic violence, social distancing is nothing new…
DetailsWe are committed to do everything we can to continue supporting survivors while also protecting the health and wellness of our clients, staff and volunteers. Here’s how you can help.
DetailsSPAN has implemented additional precautions at our Shelter and Outreach locations to limit the potential spread of the virus. The SPAN 24-hour Crisis & Information Line (303.444.2424) will remain in full operation. The SPAN Emergency Shelter will continue to provide safe refuge for survivors and their children. The Shelter capacity will be reduced to limit the spread of illness.
