When Gathering Becomes Giving

A brewery is a place where people gather.

For Gravity Brewing’s owners, Matt and his business partner, that idea is at the heart of why they wanted to be part of the local business community—and why giving back is becoming part of what they do.

When they bought Gravity Brewing, they saw an opportunity to combine two things they care about: bringing people together and supporting causes that matter.

That idea became Give Back Mondays, a program that gives a local nonprofit the proceeds from $2 of every pint of beer and craft soda sold that day.

This October, Gravity is dedicating a Monday to SPAN.

For the owners, supporting SPAN is about recognizing something that can be easy to take for granted: the safety many people experience in their everyday lives is not a reality for everyone.

They wanted Give Back Mondays to move beyond simply acknowledging that reality and create a way for people to actively support their neighbors.

That is what makes the program feel especially fitting for a brewery. People come to Gravity to meet friends, share a drink, watch a game, or simply have somewhere to be. The space becomes a place for conversation and connection—and on October 26, those connections will also help support SPAN.

Gravity’s message to the community is simple: you are welcome here.

Come for a pint or craft soda. Bring a friend. Stay awhile. And know that $2 from every pint purchased that day will support SPAN.
